Mumbai is a city of contrasts. Its a city of hopes and dreams. And of strangers that you know intimately. Its a city that is hammered by rains in the rainy season. And by terrorists when the fancy takes them. Its a city which you proud with its resolve.

Some of my favorite memories of Mumbai are about riding the local trains. Of catching the 8:00 AM local from Malad every morning. Seeing the same strangers baording the same train every day. Of hanging onto the door of the train for dear life with one hand and clutching a T-Square in the other. Of solving the Mid-Day crossword puzzle while keeping the guy next to you from drooling on your shoulder as he catches a wink.
