Allison Shaw (Allie) is a multi-faceted music industry professional whose career bridges festivals, talent buying, artist management, brand partnerships, and music-tech strategy. Driven by a lifelong passion for music, she founded Manic Monkee, a creative firm that produces festivals, events, and livestreams while also guiding brand activations and strategic business development across the music, tech, and entertainment industries.
Allie began her career writing for MTV/VH1 before launching Hyperactive Music Magazine, distributed in over 1,200 locations nationwide, and the Hyperactive Conference & Festival, which hosted more than 200 bands and 60 speakers annually. She later served as Executive Director of the Santa Fe Muzik Fest, cementing her reputation as a festival builder.
Her career has spanned high-profile roles including Director of Live Events for Rachael Ray/Watch Entertainmentand Operations Manager for Listen Records/Sony. She co-created and produced the Rachael Ray Feedback Party at SXSW and the long-running Whole Foods Southwest Invasion Showcase, booking hundreds of artists and raising funds for the Whole Planet Foundation.
Today, Allie is SVP of Festival Operations, Talent & Strategy for Pure Imagination Festival, as well as talent buyer/producer for Good Karma Fest. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and Charity Bomb, both nonprofit music charities. Past highlights include serving as Head of Booking for Moogfest, producing Los Angeles’s first all-solar-powered benefit music festival (Sunstock Solar Fest), and working as Director of Brand Development for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Public Enemy.
In addition to festivals, Allison has managed multiple artists, including The Ettes, Heather Reid (The Murmurs), God-Des & She, Elizaveta, Shayna Zaid & The Catch, MI$HNRZ, and more.
Her client and partner roster reflects her versatility, with projects spanning brands, festivals, and tech.
