Q&A with Manila Chan:

FAQ:

Q: Are you Filipina?
A: No. My first name may be the capital of the PI but I am ethnically equal parts Lao+Chinese, with a sprinkle of Mongolian/Siberian.

Q: What political party do you back?A: It's complicated. I grew up in the 1980s in a Democratic, union-member family and community. Fast forward 40+ years and the party has changed. I haven't. I consider myself politically homeless. I love my teams in sports but I don't vote based on team, nor am I a single-issue voter. My allegiance is to stay true to my personal values/ethics.

Q: Are you married?
A: Yes! And I have one child. But I prefer to afford them privacy, so I seldom share anything publicly about my family or friends, even.

Q: Summarize who you are:
A: Dog lover. Yogi. Foodie.
BOLD, BRASH, AND UNABASHED.

EAT. DRINK. BE MERRY.
