Manketeka Jerry Mashamaite
Teacher and Student in Johannesburg
My name is Manketeka Jerry Mashamaite, a third-year student at the University of Johannesburg majoring in Sepedi and Physical Education. I am passionate about education and currently training to teach both the Senior Phase and Further Education and Training (FET) levels. My focus is on promoting language development through Sepedi and enhancing physical wellbeing through active, engaging Physical Education lessons. I am committed to creating inclusive, culturally relevant, and learner-centered classrooms that support the holistic development of all students.
As an aspiring educator, I aim to preserve and promote indigenous language learning while also encouraging healthy lifestyles among learners. I believe that both language and physical education play a vital role in shaping confident, well-rounded individuals. Through innovative teaching methods, I strive to motivate learners to take pride in their cultural identity and physical health, preparing them to participate meaningfully in both academic and real-life contexts.
