Becca Manning
Providence, RI
I am a writer and editor who has worked in professional journalism for more than eight years, writing news and features for daily and weekly newspapers, websites, monthly magazines and other publications. A graduate of Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, I most recently reported on the Boston neighborhood of Charlestown as local editor of CharlestownPatch.com. Prior to coming to Patch, I worked for Clipper Press in Duxbury, Mass., where I helped launch a weekly newspaper, the Pembroke Express, and led the paper through three successful years. A New England transplant, I began my journalism career at the Piqua Daily Call in Piqua, Ohio, where I contributed to the paper winning several editorial excellence awards and received the Associated Press of Ohio's Best News Writer Award. I am currently looking for work in the Providence, RI area doing writing, editing and other creative work. Got a gig? Send me an email!
