What is Your Why?

Easy - My kids. First and foremost, they are by far the two people in my life that I want to be most proud of me.

While I am far from perfect, I still earned their highest honors taking home the coveted "Best Dad" award on Father's Day!

It's this nice little Oscar-like award and it serves as a HUGE reminder that they are watching, listening and learning. It also reminds me that this time I have to play with, and influence them goes by quickly and we don't get a second run at it.

I want them to have some great childhood memories for sure because that is an important piece of the puzzle to who they will become. But I think more than anything, I want them to have a strong sense of self and self-worth.

I want them to know the value of a handshake and keeping their word.

I want them to know that what they have to say is important.

I tell them to never let anyone quiet their voice and when they speak, they should do so with confidence but always be respectful of other opinions, as long as it is not hateful or hurtful.

I want them to choose good friends and know how to BE a good friend.

We try to teach them to be safe but also be willing to help others because being able to help people is a rare gift and I takethat thought to work with me every day.

What I get to do for a living not only changes the lives of the families but also neighbors and neighborhoods and that is a huge responsibility.

As a Realtor for almost 30yrs, I get my greatest satisfaction knowing that together we took something from an idea and created a plan to make that a reality.

At home I am married to my beautiful & spirited wife Teresa and she keeps me grounded and on my toes.

I often say, "I am her Sky and She is my Earth."

Together we are not only proud parents of these two pretty amazing kids but we also advocate for children within the Foster Care system. There is a dire need forquality parents, so we encourage others who have the heart & home to do the same because we all have a gift to share with one another and thats why I believe you are reading this now...
