As a Spanish teacher and dean of security and student affairs at Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, Manuel (Manny) Simon works in one of the most prestigious college prep institutions in both New York and the United States. Manny Simon’s work at Stuyvesant also extends to coordinating SAPIS (Substance Abuse Prevention and Intervention Specialists) activities and advising the school’s chapter of the Red Cross Club.

He is a certificated school building leader and a school therapeutic crisis intervention specialist. He also holds multiple types of first aid and CPR certifications including emergency care for concussion patients and the operation of automated external defibrillator equipment.

A graduate of the State University of Albany and Brooklyn College, Manuel Simon holds both a bachelor’s degree in political science and dual master’s degrees in educational leadership and secondary Spanish education. He remains interested in the latest developments in high school education and teaching in general.
