I am currently a student at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) doing a Bachelor degree in Education 3rd year. UJ is quite a cool University especially the faculty of Education which always pursues excellence in education through teaching, research and community service. I am a prospective teacher of Mathematics and Physical Science having a lot of interest in the pedagogy of teaching these subjects. In light of this I am always contemplating on how teaching can be improved on these key subjects. I am also involved in Mathematics tutoring work for grade 7’s through a project called Numeric as well as a Saturday school program (Physical Science) in a nearby school.
I think my interests speak for themselves, I like reading and analyzing things and people a lot. Moreover, I am addicted to the presence of young minds around me in order to share the knowledge, skills and values I have. I am actually a specialist in helping young minds discover their potential and purpose.
I have not gone far with life but a successful life does not depend on how much you live but how productive you are with the present time given. That is why I also have few achievements from my Primary and Secondary School life, amongst those is being a part of the Representative Council of Learners (RCL) which most of us have been but to me it has add great value to my leadership nature. Furthermore, a trophy and certificates in grade 12 for best achiever in the whole school and also a University’s Top achiever certificate. I am hoping for more of course!!!
