The Governor's House Inn was worked by James Laurens in 1760 on the site of the previous Charleston Orange Garden. Found simply outside the first walled city of old Charles Towne, the Orange Garden, which was accepted to be the site of a genuine orange forest in the last part of the 1600s, was a recreation center where shows were every now and again held.
The house was planned by Miller and Fullerton as a conventional Georgian twofold house, with an inside flight of stairs and two enormous rooms on either side. Ordinary of the style, the house is tall, grand, and incredibly balanced. The house experienced an enormous redesign in 1885 under the responsibility for Wagener. Around then, Victorian homes were incredibly well known, so the house currently includes a Victorian winding flight of stairs. The core of pine floors, chimneys and triple-hung windows are on the whole unique. The chimneys situated in the conventional living and lounge areas are strong record.
