Manuel Acevedo is a High-Tech entrepreneur, currently focusing on health mobile apps (iPhone + iPad).
Since April 2013, he is working on a disruptive iPhone+iPad app that is about to hit the market in the next few months!
He obtained his MsC in Computer Science (Communication Systems) at EPFL Lausanne in 2002 and carried out his master thesis at the NEC Research Lab at Princeton, NJ.
After leading high security IT projects for the Geneva Police Department and the Geneva e-voting system, he moved on in 2008 and founded UsefulWeb.ch, the first Mobile Start‐up in western Switzerland, and was awarded several Swiss Innovation prizes for the company's flagship project MadeinLocal.com including the EPFL, EHL and IMD innovation prizes.
In 2012, Manuel founded Townten.com, the world's most advanced local search engine and launched it at a SFNewTech event in San Francisco.
