Manuel Villar Guijarro
Cáceres, Spain
I work in JardiBots, my startup that's trying to improve our world by helping farmers to grow food in an efficient and environmentally friendly way.
I'm the manager of NotAnts, a consulting boutique aimed to help SMEs to reach it's potential, using the leverage provided by IT and Free Libre Open Source Software.
I'm also one of the founders of JamónJamón, the best source of Spain's finest food and wine.
My whole professional career has pivoted around free sofware and IT systems.
I've worked in great projects and I'm proud of have been part of them:
* The introduction of IT in the Andalussian Public School System.
* The development of automated traffic sensor cameras for ACISA (I learned a lot on how to develop r&d projects there).
* The Andalusian Public GIS Infraestructure. (www.ideandalucia.es)
* Big eLearning projects (formacion.guadalinfo.es)
* The LinEx operating system, which I had the pleasure to lead 2009-2011.
