Born in Atlanta, GA with an immigrant family from Accra, Ghana; Atwei has always had a unique perspective on fashion. Her love for fashion developed at a young age as she watched her grandmother, Naomi. Naomi was the first female seamstress to make mens clothes in Ghana and had a very elaborate- unique sense of style that inspired Atwei. Growing up, she was always involved in the arts. She participated in African dance, Play-Writing, Media Production, and Cosmotology. Although she had an ongoing love for the arts, she wanted to gain a knowledge of the business world. Thus, she received two BBA's at Georgia State University: one in Finance and the other in Risk Management. After working in Finance for four years, she realized nothing compared to her natural creative abilities. Atwei then took a blend of her business background and poetic personality to create a fashion line; which will debut in Fall/Winter 2015.
