Hello, I am Mapendo Mindje (call me Mapendo), an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda-College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, holding a dual Masters' degree in Biodiversity Conservation and Natural Resources Management (University of Rwanda) and MSc. BioGeosciences (University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany). Mapendo is a research associate at the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural resources management where he is the team leader for the Biodiversity data management team with tasks to mobilize, manage and publish biodiversity information to avail this to the country through the Rwanda Biodiversity Information System. His research interest focuses on Rwandan herpetology, trained in Bioacoustic assessment of anurans of Rwanda. To strengthen his research development, Mapendo was awarded a position of associate research fellow at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany where he is an alumnus under the Rwanda-Center and office for Africa cooperation.
