Marat Tsirelson

Marat Tsirelson is a successful entrepreneur with 15 years of experience across the real estate industry. He is the co-founder and president of GM Home Inc., a private equity firm that focuses its investments in residential real estate, distressed residential real estate, and non-performing assets. Marat also plays an important role with The Lending Group, a full service direct mortgage lender that provides residential asset management and specialty loan servicing.

After graduating magna cum laude from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Marat Tsirelson worked at Vanguard Funds before finding a position within the world of residential lending—his first exposure to the world of real estate.

Eventually, as the real estate market soured in 2008, Marat Tsirelson became interested in purchasing and renovating residential homes; by 2009, he had purchased his first short sale home and began to rehab it. In the years since then, GM Home has completed over 350 homes and even entered the multi-family space. GM Home currently has more than 40 projects and has successfully renovated over 261 homes, and the company has found ways to survive and thrive during the past eight years during several economic cycles, including downturns.

GM Home is active in both the Philadelphia area and Southeast Florida. Marat Tsirelson, as president, focuses on the acquisition of land for development and the purchase of properties to rehab. Marat and GM Home also have expertise in mixed use and condominium development and private home building, and their experience stretches from property acquisition, access to distressed inventory, legal expertise, design, planning, construction, and code compliance all the way through marketing, selling, and closing on the sale of properties.

Additionally, at The Lending Group, Marat Tsirelson helps to provide expertise in analyzing, buying, and selling investment opportunities. Marat and his team can also offer assistance with financing to help clients lower monthly payments, consolidate debt, or get cash to invest.
