I’m Marlene.I have been living on Maui since 1995. Prior to moving to Maui, I spent my last 5 (out of 11) years of living in Texas reawakening to a deeper spiritual way of being. I had studied shamanism and toning. I participated in sweatlodges and healing circles. During this time, I remembered a very big angel that came to visit me when I was a little girl. This angel showed me a vision of a place that I would later come to discover to be Maui. As a child growing up in Pennsylvania, I found myself fascinated by anything and everything Hawaiian. From rainbows, hula, Elvis in “Blue Hawaii”, to the epic movie “Hawaii”. When I came to Hawaii, it was really like coming home – I even heard a voice say to me in one of the bamboo forests here on Maui- “Welcome Home”. Hawaii is where the spiritual and physical worlds combine. There is no other place on Earth with so much diversity all in one place: rainforests, waterfalls, volcanoes, fresh water pools, and sandy beaches.

Here in Hawaii, I have studied and worked with various healing systems: Kofutu, The Healing Generator, Reiki, Soul Mind Body Medicine, ARCH, I’O and Cosmic Source. I am certified to teach the first level of ARCH Healing. I am currently a Certified Kaula in a Kahuna/Shaman training program. I have been a prayer chaplain at Unity Church of Maui since 2001. I have worked with children since 1998 in various settings: A+ Afterschool Program, Baby/Kid Sitting in private homes and in hotels, to working in the Special Education Department with elementary and high school grade level (my current position). I have worked with adults with disabilities and volunteered with organizations such as Equest (on the mainland) and Special Olympics.
