Marc Kielburger is a movement builder, social entrepreneur, and legacy architect who has spent his life empowering young people to make a difference. He is also the co-founder of Legacy+
When Marc and his brother Craig were just teenagers, they co-founded Free the Children, a nonprofit and youth empowerment organization that inspired young Canadians and people around the world.
Marc and Craig have inspired thousands of young Canadians through their WE Day events, which have included the participation of more than 1.5 million people.
The author of many best-selling books about global change, activism and social entrepreneurship, Marc Kielburger was awarded the Order of Canada in 2010 and was later chosen by the World Economic Forum as one of the world’s Young Global Leaders. In 2015, Marc was named the Most Admired CEO in Canada in the Public Sector.
Marc graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. He’s received 10 honorary degrees and doctorates for his work in education and human rights.
For his work as a philanthropist, Marc has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, 60 Minutes and the BBC. He remains an influential voice in social entrepreneurship and the building of purpose-driven legacies for companies, foundations and individuals. His partnerships with the Martin Luther King III Foundation, in collaboration with BCG-X, highlights his dedication to educational enhancement via the integration of AI, utilizing cutting-edge technologies as a tool for positive social transformation.
