Marca Cassity, MA, BSN
Resilience Coach in Baltimore, Maryland
Desire to live a life of deep meaning, balanced with health and joy, has led me to devote myself to the study and implementation of many paths of self-love and community wellness. These include meditation, consciousness-based spirituality, and Nonviolent Communication, infused with love of nature, humor, and heritage.
I am originally from the Osage nation of Oklahoma, and am an enrolled citizen. After years of hard work overcoming trauma, and learning to love myself as a Two Spirit person, I went on to become a licensed trauma therapist and trained at the Native American Health Center of San Francisco and the Indian Country Child Trauma Center at the University of Oklahoma. I am a two-time graduate of the North American Nonviolent Communication Leadership program and have taught and been a part of NVC groups since 2003.
I worked as an emergency room nurse for many years, and I am also a critically acclaimed songwriter. My song "Enemy" was featured as theme music for the Conflict Hotline, a Nonviolent Communication based cable show in the San Francisco area.
I am honored to be in the Baltimore area in 2018 offering communication skills teaching and overall wellness coaching. I enjoy helping others learn to implement compassionate, empowered living practices to make daily life more wonderful. I can be reached at the above email link, or by phone at 510-600-3637.
