What's up, I’m Marcellis. I’m a small business owner living in Calumet City, Illinois. I am a fan of entrepreneurship, travel, and innovation.

With the economy faltering, jobs becoming scarce and Calumet City raising taxes and fees on residents and business owners, the time has come for new leadership at City Hall.

Currently I am collecting signatures for my Independent Candidate Petition for the General Election in April 2017 for the title of Mayor.

Current leadership is focused on large-scale no bid contracts for friends, expensive salaries, wasteful spending, and nepotism.

That reality needs to change!

I to want to bring back accountability, improve transparency, eliminate waste in government spending and reduce crime by improving the quality of life for residents.

Did you know the Position of Mayor in Calumet City is a part time job and the Mayor collects a annual 6 figure plus salary? The average household income in Calumet City working full time is less than $50,000. Who is she really working for?

If elected Mayor I WILL BE ON YOUR SIDE and will not be collecting a salary! That money belongs to the tax payers so residents will see a credit to their extremely high water bills!
