Marci McDaniel
California
Husband and wife team Darrell and Marci (aka McDaniel & Mack) bring very different backgrounds to their Heirshow (Birth/Weddings/Ancestry/Memorial) business and in doing so, create a seamless experience and products for their families. Knowing the front and behind the camera is a unique asset to have. They are born Photographers, Videographers and Cinematographers and absolutely love their digital art form.
Marci started as a performer. It also helps to stay inspired by the performers in her family dancer and theatre founder/director Aunt Jo Bunton Keel, singer Aunt Jennifer Ford Keel and Jazz legend Joe Keel and a our new generation cousin Joslyn “JOFOKE” Keel.
Marci was a member of the Inner city Cultural Center, Ballet Folklorico Do Brasil, Lula Washington, Debbie Reynolds Dance, Dupree, Joe Tremain, Chester Whitmore, All That Dance collectives and more. Having the opportunities to study under such notables as Bella Lewitzy, Joffrey Ballet Instructors, Dance Theatre of Harlem Instructors, Alvin Ailey Instructors, Shirley Martin and more is invaluable. Musical theatre under the direction of H.B. Barnum, Felton Perry, the late Brock Peters, the late Vantile Whitfield and more helped create a better performer. She went on to choreograph and consult with up and coming recording artists working with Randy Jackson (American Idol).
After studying at AFI (American Film Institute) Marci worked through the ranks from Audience Coordinator, Script Supervisor, Production Supervisor and Assistant Director. Some of the hottest television networks include CBS , ABC, BET, NBC and Nickelodeon. DreamWorks. She worked on projects and shows such as Music Videos (with Janet Jackson…)“Mad TV”, “Man Show”, Comedy Awards, AFI tribute to Dustin Hoffman, Tonight Show, “Roseanne Show”, “Kids Choice Awards” “Kung Fu Panda”.
Marci found that although she loves the positions held television production work, hanging with the camera and photographers every chance and working with the marketing department on many films at DreamWorks, she had to branch out to create on her own productions. Out of that realization, Darrell and Marci founded Heirshow studios for families and Pixelphaser studios for local businesses.
Darrell grew up globally as the son of a military colonel and is an alumni of Stanford University’s Engineering Department. He also studied audio and video production in college. Technology/Engineering and Artistic expression has
