Márcia Soares

Student in portugal

Hello, I’m Márcia. I’ve recently completed the first year of my Master’s Degree in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Minho, in Portugal. During the second semester, I had the opportunity to study abroad through the Erasmus+ program at Blanquerna – Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, which broadened my academic and cultural perspective.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve actively engaged in volunteer work with diverse groups, including Roma communities, individuals struggling with substance use, and children in vulnerable situations. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of social inequality, resilience, and human behavior in different contexts—skills that are highly valuable in organizational settings where inclusion and diversity matter.

I also currently work at an adventure sports park, where I am responsible for guiding and supporting participants through physically and emotionally challenging activities. This role has strengthened my ability to manage stress, lead groups, ensure safety, and foster teamwork—competencies that align strongly with organizational development, motivation, and leadership training.

My academic background, paired with my hands-on experience, has allowed me to develop a well-rounded profile. I’m passionate about promoting healthy, inclusive, and effective work environments. I consider myself motivated, adaptable, and empathetic—someone who values growth, collaboration, and practical impact.

What sets me apart is the combination of international education, socially engaged volunteer work, and high-pressure team-based roles. I am fluent in Portuguese, have an intermediate level of English, and basic knowledge of Spanish, which supports my ability to work across cultures and communicate effectively in diverse settings.
