Marco Rona

Marco graduated in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan, with a dissertation on digital signal processing.
After graduation, he first acted as technical consultant for a distributor of networking systems, then joined Siemens Group, as Software Engineer.
Following his interests in developing microelectronic-related software, he changed within Siemens Group to Infineon Technologies Austria as Software Engineer in the Computer Aided Testing division, building up a solid expertise in simulation technologies for digital and mixed-signal microchips as well as software design.
Willing to get more in touch with customers, in 2004 he moved to Infineon's headquarters, becoming Application Engineer for automotive microcontrollers. Here, besides getting deeply in touch with complex microcontrollers' architectures, he contributed in the definition of AUTOSAR standards.
Beginning of 2007 he went back to Italy joining automotive supplier Lames as Project Manager for window regulators.
End of 2008 he changed to Eltek in the role of Key Account Manager for automotive electronic and electromechanical components.
Since May 2011 he is Sales Director at Bulloneria Usorini, a company specialised in the development and production of fastening systems for automotive applications.
In parallel to his professional activities, since June 2009 he he is Town Councillor in Cilavegna and since March 2013 member of the Municipal Executive Body with responsibility for budget and human resources.
In his career Marco had the opportunity to build up a strong technical expertise in (micro)electronics, embedded systems and computer engineering. He was author of several papers and speaker in international conferences.
Although in the last years he is more focusing on business development activities, he remains in his heart a “technician” and is still deeply interested and involved in matters, like ITC, electronics, home automation and security.
