I was born in Modena, Italy, where I still live with my wife and work as Director of Natural Language Understanding at expert.ai (aka Expert System SpA)—one of the leading Italian software companies specializing in applied linguistics.

In my spare time, together with a friend, I’ve developed several mobile games for iOS and Android (with a few also released on OUYA and Windows Phone). Some of them even reached top positions in various app stores—thanks to quality, luck, or a bit of both.

I'm also the author of a now-discontinued webcomic called Kurt Comics, and I manage two long-running e-zines: KULT Underground and KULT Virtual Press, both of which have been online for over twenty years.

From time to time, I write fiction—usually short stories—or scripts for short films. Once or twice a year, I find myself on juries for artistic competitions or helping out at book presentations.

I also sang on two tracks of an indie album… though that’s probably not something to brag about. 😄
