Marco Valussi

I've been working with medicinal and aromatic plants for 30 years now. I teach about them, I write about them and I consult about them. I gained my BSc. (Hons.) in Herbal Medicine in London in 1998, and before that I studied the use of essential oils in massage therapy. I am currently production manager and scientific director of the distillation company Magnifica Essenza, in the heart of the Dolomites in Val di Fiemme. I support essential oil and botanical extract companies in building technically robust, scientifically grounded, and sustainable production systems. With more than 25 years of international experience, I work across the entire value chain — from plant selection and distillation parameters to quality assessment, safety evaluation, and final application.
