Marco Majerovich

Stoney Creek, Ontario

I am currently an Occasional teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.

My undergraduate degree was completed at Brock University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I obtained my teacher certification from the Faculty of Education at Central Queensland University in Australia in 2009.

My passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom. It is vital to teach students the importance of becoming a devout Catholic by developing strong moral ethics and a profound religious faith throughout their Catholic community. Furthermore, integrating sports and exercise is fundamental for the proper health and well-being of children/adolescents. I have previously worked as a physical fitness trainer and enjoy playing just about every sport. I grew up playing competitively in ice hockey, soccer and football. Over the past few years, I have developed strong passions for surfing, snowboarding, tennis and rugby. I am eager and passionate when it comes to helping students learn, whether it be in the classroom or through extra-curricular activities.

Through teaching abroad, I gained a valuable insight into education around the world and the various cultures that benefit from higher learning. I love travelling and have been to many countries in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. Some of my favorites are Vienna Austria, Venice Italy, Zurich Switzerland, Munich Germany, Hong Kong China, Montevideo Uruguay, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Brisbane Australia and Melbourne Australia. Throughout all my experiences, I have become highly organized, confident and motivated to succeed while modeling my students in developing a similar insight. If you want something bad enough, you go and get it!
