Marcos Gonzalez Hernando is Lecturer in Social Theory and Research Methods at UCL Social Research Institute. He has experience teaching research methods, political sociology, policy change, and social theory, and his research interests lie in the sociology of knowledge, particularly in what concerns experts, political elites, and intellectual and policy change. His doctoral dissertation focused on the effects of the 2008 global financial crisis on British think tanks and his current research is on the attitudes towards economic inequality and fears of downward social mobility of high-income earners.
