Marco Sepulveda

I come from Chile, South America. I am an Electrical Civil Engineer (UK equivalent: Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Administration). Currently, I am studying a M.Sc. in Management and Information Technology at the University of St. Andrews, and I have 3 years experience in Energy Business and Management. I worked as a team leader and I generated business contacts in the Chilean energy sector. In my last job I was part of the largest Energy Conglomerate of Chile and Argentina, CGE Group, as a Sales Engineer and Business Development Executive. I managed a new line of business related to Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Electrical Infrastructure. My responsibilities were to establish new opportunities of businesses, negociate at board level (B2B market) as well as to develop and manage engineering projects; therefore I had to create sales and marketing strategies in order to achieve company goals. I also worked for the Technological Research Institute of the University of Concepcion as a Project Engineer. Additionally, I owned company in the pest control services sector as a result of my entrepreneurial personality. To sum up, I have got technical knowledge in different areas related to Business Development Management, Energy Distribution Companies, Manufacturers, Lighting Enterprises, Governmental Institutions, and so on. Amongst my passions I can mention firstly sports, such as golf and rugby, and secondly travelling; at the moment I have visited 16 countries in Europe and South America.
