David Marcrum

David B. Marcrum is a 2011 graduate of Cleveland State University earning a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Since earning his undergraduate degree, he has since gone back to Cleveland State and is due to earn his Masters in Literacy and Development as well as his reading endorsement. In addition to his advanced degree, he is trained in the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment for entering kindergarteners to understand the diverse learning needs of his students.
During his career, David B. Marcrum has worked with his students on multiple intelligence levels. He worked hard to ensure his lessons were intellectually stimulating as well and engaging his students’ attention. Examples of his creativity include baking and decorating cookies in the letter sounds the students were studying, celebrating multicultural holidays by exploring the history and customs to create a diverse understanding in his students.
In addition to his dedication to his students’ education, he fostered positive relationships with the families of the students under his care. He maintained routine correspondence through phone calls, emails, and a weekly newsletter to show the progress of his students throughout the year. David B. Marcrum has also traveled abroad to Belize in order to assist teachers in implementing science in the classroom.
