Change management in manufacturing is a widely spoken topic. It does come along two large challenges: resistance to change and operational disruptions.
When we talk about resistance to change we understand that manufacturing environments are often deeply rooted in established processes, routines, and cultures. Employees—whether frontline operators, supervisors, or managers—may resist change due to: fear of job loss or role changes, skepticism about benefits or lack of clear communication.
Another aspect of change is Operational Disruption. Implementing change in a live production environment can cause delays, inefficiencies, or quality issues, which can lead to: Production downtime, Inconsistent execution or Bottlenecks and errors.
I'm Marcus an experienced change manager who has spent decades in the trenches. I'm a visionary expert and academic author. I'm a Six Sigma Black Belt. I've been working with individuals, companies, and executives for a couple of decades.
We can work together to understand and adress the resistance to change, frame it and reframe it to ensure seamless operational continuity.
And then I'm a translator. I take what happens in the middle of the hands-on workforce’s world and what happens behind the closed doors of shop floor environment, I translate those into tools. The tools are designed for operators to use and make sense of the change implemented by managers and directors.
