A professional football player with the National Football League (NFL), Marcus L. Trufant served for a decade as a cornerback with the Seattle Seahawks. The team selected him as the 11th overall NFL draft pick in 2003. Over the years, Marcus L. Trufant proved an integral part of the Seahawks’ strong defensive backfield. His finest season came in 2007, when he was selected for the Pro Bowl. During the season, the cornerback accumulated 15 deflected passes and 85 tackles. He also achieved a career high of seven intercepted passes and returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown run of 84 yards.

Parting ways with the Seahawks in 2013, Marcus L. Trufant currently serves as president of the Trufant Family Foundation. Founded in 2003, the nonprofit foundation sponsors a wide range of college scholarships, youth camps, and fitness programs. In addition to overseeing the work of this active organization, Trufant and his wife, Jessica Trufant, are raising their three young children. Jessica Trufant proudly supports her husband’s continuing efforts with the family foundation.
