I have been involved in the Construction Industry for the past 17 Yrs. Since I started work in the Industry I have gained a BSc (Hons) Building Surveying and became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
In my spare time I enjoy visiting various Museums, Art Galleries and photography with my wife Julie. We both enjoy taking trips to Europe for our holidays.
During my working life I have gained numerous skills on Education and Residential Projects and I am continuously improving my skills. I am a very good team player and will always help my fellow colleagues out whether for advice or helping the school placement students. I have a good working knowledge of JCT Contracts especially Minor Works and Intermediate Forms of Contract.
Working in the Construction Industry has a great impact on people and the types of buildings that I have worked on over the last 17 years. I enjoy working with all the numerous professionals and contractors who undertake the works to ensure that the project is completed to the Clients satisfaction. I always learn from the projects I have completed and keep my skills upto date by undertaking CPD both within the office and evenings to develope more as a person. I have a good sense of humour and consider myself to be easy to work with.
Throughout my career I have learnt about different types of construction and how I can improve the process for the type of project I am working on.
Job Coach for Business in the Community Ready for Work Programme where I assist in helping people get back into employment, where I helped secure seasonal employment for a client.
