Marcus Siotkas
An accomplished counselor and educator in New York, Marcus Siotkas maintains a unique passion for educational toy design. His experience includes both freelance designing and working in affiliation with various toy companies. Through his creations, Marcus Siotkas seeks to help children grow intellectually, socially, and creatively. Recently, Marcus Siotkas became inspired to create educational tools through software systems. To further develop his capacity to attain this goal, he achieved acceptance into the Master of Arts program for Cognitive Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. He intends to study intelligent technologies. Already highly educated, Marcus Siotkas earned in December 2002 a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University in May 2006. Marcus Siotkas proficiently operates a wide array of software, including Adobe Creative Suite, ESchool, SASI, Alias 3d, and Naviance. Interested in multicultural counseling, Marcus Siotkas speaks both English and Spanish.
Marcus Siotkas currently serves as a Partner and Coach at FrontBulb, an educational organization he established in January 2010. He also supports and guides students as a School Counselor at New Rochelle High School and a Program Coordinator and Instructor for Columbia University's Summer High School Program. Marcus Siotkas' diverse career experience includes serving as a School Counselor at Mamaroneck High School, a Guidance Intern at Syosset High School, a Counselor for Community Mainstream Associates, a Counseling Office Associate in the Social Work Department of the Rochester Institute of Technology, and as a Trading Assistant on the New York Stock Exchange. Professionally, Marcus Siotkas belongs to such organizations as The Industrial Designers Society of America, the American School Counselor Association, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and other organizations.
