Marcus Wade

Marcus Wade is a trade finance expert, businessman, and entrepreneur with extensive experience working across Europe, the UAE, and Africa. He is the founder of Wilben Trade Limited.

Starting his career in 1997 at London Forfaiting Company, Marcus quickly moved from operations to a trading role that enabled UK and Scandinavian exporters to sell goods on credit terms with buyers in emerging markets. He spent the next 12 years (2002-2014) working at notable trade finance and commodity firms such as Cargill and Noble Resources. At Cargill, Marcus managed bank relationships in German-speaking countries and Scandinavia, and at Noble, he established the Commodity Enhanced Finance division, which specialised in creating liquidity and trading credit in emerging markets.

In 2014 he established Wilben Trade, which as a global merchant trading, commodities, and procurement & supply company, has the capacity to provide anything from a single item supply to turn-key solutions, including post-delivery credit. Wilben Trade has grown to a multi-billion-dollar revenue enterprise, spreading its operations across three continents and establishing its headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

Throughout his distinguished career, Marcus Wade has emerged as a trusted leader in the trade, commodities, and financial sectors, particularly in the area of emerging markets.

Marcus is a King’s College London alumnus, holding a degree in Law. In addition to English, he is also fluent in German and Norwegian. He is currently settled in Dubai, UAE, with his family.
