Marc Wimpee MD is the current Medical Director of the Esperanza Dental and Health Clinics in San Angelo, TX. Marc Wimpee MD took a job as an assistant in an emergency room when he was in high school. That experience made him interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field, something he had never considered in the past. He attended Angelo State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology.
To further pursue a medical degree, Marc Wimpee MD attended the Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 1979, and directly afterwards was accepted into an internship at Lubbock General Hospital. He then served as a resident in the Department of Orthopedics at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and earned several awards for being an exceptional medical student.
Following these experiences, Marc Wimpee MD worked at five nursing homes in the Lubbock area as the medical director and the primary care physician for most of the residents. He then gained several years of experience working for various practices in San Angelo, TX.
Aside from his positions at the Esperanza Dental and Health Clinics and the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, Marc Wimpee MD has served as the Chairman of his local chapter of the Texas Medical Association, which covers an eight county area. He prides himself on his attentiveness to his patients and exceptional bedside manner.
