Marcy Strauss Axelrod
Marcy Strauss Axelrod is a management consultant with 20+ years helping global companies become more innovative and effective. Underlying these projects is a passion to help people achieve their potential. She accomplishes this through teaching emotional and social intelligence to adults and children. A big part of this is the study and teaching of happiness, a state that increases productivity, creativity, health, tolerance, learning, memory and many other aspects of a thriving life.
Marcy's consulting work spans the US, Europe and Asia, and has focused on some of the most competitive and challenging industries such as high tech, consumer products and retail. Her projects span from quick, six-week assessments to year-long multi-phase efforts that take a company through a diagnostic effort, solution development and implementation, as well as ongoing monitoring to ensure results.
Clients include world leaders such as HP, Cisco, Motorola, SAP, Gap, Yahoo!, StorageTek, Symantec, and Baosteel (China). Marcy has also lead strategy engagements for well-known global philanthropies, and has taught mindfulness, social and emotional intelligence in the Silicon Valley public school system.
Marcy has studied at Cornell and Stanford. She enjoys reading, writing, running, martial arts, and teaching Emotional and Social Intelligence as well as Happiness to children and adults. Her fiction writing moved to the forefront in 2012 with the development of the Annie Axelrod Book Series. (Book 1 available on Ready2BHappy.com)
