MshOza 879 – Official Biography
Puseletso Marebane, professionally known as MshOza 879, is a rising Amapiano producer from
Ga-Kgoete, Burgersfort in Limpopo. Born on 9 July 2008, he grew up surrounded by rich South
African sounds and rhythms that shaped his musical identity from a young age.
The name “MshOza” is a tribute to the late Kwaito legend Mshoza, whose confidence, creativity,
and bold presence inspired him to pursue music. Her energy and legacy continue to guide his
artistic direction.
MshOza 879 began creating music in 2020, spending years experimenting, practicing, and
developing his ear for soulful, jazzy, and emotional Amapiano. His sound is heavily influenced by pioneers such as Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, and Mas Musiq, whose styles helped shape the
foundation of his musical journey.
After years of building his skills, he officially started releasing music in 2025. On 18 November 2025, he dropped his debut project, Youthful Resilience EP, a milestone that showcases his
growth, passion, and dedication to the craft. The EP represents the story of a young artist
determined to rise despite challenges.
Still new to the industry, MshOza 879 is driven by ambition, creativity, and a desire to evolve. He is open for collaborations with any artists, whether upcoming or established, and believes in growing
through unity and shared ideas.
