Margaret Claypool
I'm an 8th grade math teacher living on the far, far north coast of California.
I'm passionate about mathematics. I love sharing with my students the beauty of its logic and the satisfaction that comes from solving a difficult puzzle, sometimes with multiple routes to a correct answer.
I'm deeply excited about technology in education. On its own, technology cannot reinvent education. However, knowing how deeply these new tools have affected my own learning inspires me to try to share these possibilities with my students.
I love to learn. Professional development is my chance to learn to be a better and better teacher. By learning from other teachers, I can pick up things ranging for little tips to earth-shattering revelations that change my teaching practice in ways small or profound.
I am in my fifth year of teaching mathematics in a middle school in a rural northern California community and am looking to expand my horizons. If you think I might be a good fit at your school, please take a look at http://margaret.claypool.me
