Margaret Kargbo is a strategic marketing and communications specialist with over a decade of experience supporting artists, businesses and nonprofits in efforts to produce special programming and events in media education, and community development. Margaret is a Journalism graduate of Howard University’s School of Communications where she majored in Public Relations with a minor in Economics.

Working as a consultant in both the private and nonprofit sector, Margaret’s professional experiences have varied yet are centrally focused on providing quality to communication strategies that mitigate risks for the concept sustainability and growth. Most recently, Margaret has provided to social enterprise and nonprofit entities focused on building capacity within rural, urban and marginalized communities while managing online communication platforms for community outreach.

Margaret Kargbo is a woman who wears a lot of hats juggling projects for both non-profit and for-profit ventures. Through her many career advances and opportunities, Margaret has amassed a wide variety of experience handing PR, marketing, event coordinating and fundraising for entities such as SPARK Reproductive Justice, Sustainable Rural Regenerative Enterprises for Families (SURREF), Ryan Partnership, GTM Central, National Black Arts Festival, Porter Novelli, League of Women Voters of DeKalb County, Atlanta Art Now, Peacewerks Center for Well-Being and Gene Kansas Developments.

Beyond her career, Margaret enjoys attending live music showcases, Art shows, dancing and collecting vintage accessories. Margaret volunteers her time serving on the board of several community organizations that focus on empowering women of color, promote social good and support artists and entrepreneurs in becoming smart business owners.
