Since 2001, I've been producing AudioPortraits©—personalized audio stories for people and organizations inspired to preserve their legacy. To hear samples, please feel free to click on my portfolio link above.

My view of the world is shaped by my life north and south of the equator—in the U.S. and Australia—and by my experiences in journalism (especially public radio) and media relations.

Originally from Australia, I was a radio reporter and producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before switching to TV as a researcher and associate producer for 60 Minutes.

In 1986, I moved to Massachusetts where I freelanced as a copy editor at the Boston Globe and then worked as PR Director for Special Olympics Massachusetts. In 1991, I joined Monitor Radio as nightside producer of Early Edition. In 1998, I moved to WBUR News where I was the senior editor of Morning Edition and then executive producer of All Things Considered until 2015, when I joined MIT Technology Review as senior editor of the Solve program, then senior writer at the MIT Media Lab.

As a freelance journalist, I’ve been a reporter and producer at The World for WGBH-BBC and a copy editor at the Christian Science Monitor. I’ve also specialized in media relations for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

I started my career as a producer of oral histories and documentaries, and I'm a former professional singer, now a member of several Boston-area choirs.
