My Bachelor of Science Degree was in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University. Both my Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are from the University of Texas at Dallas, Callier Center. I am married and have one child, Jennifer Scherf, who is an Attorney. She and my three granddaughters, Lindsay, Madiosn and Kylee, live in the Dallas, Texas, area. My husband, Ron Herzfeld, and I live in Austin, Texas.
