Margaret Schlachter

Margaret Schlachter is an entreprenuer, author, writer, coach, series host, obstacle racer, endurance athlete, and all around lover of life. Margart grew up as an alpine ski racer and lacrosse player and it's fair to say sports have always been a driving factor in life. After college while working for a private ski academy as a coach and administrator decided on a lark to try out the first ever Spartan Race outside Burlington, Vermont in 2010. This one event sent her life on a truly new direction, leaving a career in education to become a leading voice of obstacle course racing.
Today, Schlachter is the founder and owner of Dirtinyourskirt.com, Obstacle and Extreme Racing Expert for About.com, contributing editor for Mud and Obstacle Magazine, author with Tuttle Publishing, as well as a Team Athlete for Gaspari Nutrition & Inov-8. In 2012 Dirt in Your Skirt was awarded the Best Sports Weblog from the Bloggies Awards. Her website is also part of the FitFluential Network.
She is currently a host of the online series Obstacle and Adventure Weekly Series on MudRunGuide.com.
