Margot Connolly

Margot Connolly is playwright currently based in Iowa City, IA. Her plays include Belfast Kind (Winner, Jewish Plays Project's Jewish Playwriting Contest), Quiz Out, 1 John 4:20, The Twins, and Keys. Her work has been produced and developed through the Jewish Plays Project, Berkshire Fringe Festival, the Playwrights Center, Ugly Rhino, Midtown International Theater Festival, the Bechdel Group, Village Playwrights, the Bad Theater Festival, and the 2015 Frigid Fringe Festival. She was a 2010-2011 Core Apprentice at the Playwrights Center, a 24 Hour Play: Nationals 2015 company member, and has worked for New Dramatists, New Georges, and the Debate Society. She received her BA from Bennington College, where she studied drama and playwriting and is currently an MFA playwriting candidate at the University of Iowa. www.writemargotwrite.weebly.com
