Margot Yecies

Margot is a current senior at Dartmouth College pursuing a double major in Music and Theater. At Dartmouth, Margot has participated in the arts in many different capacities, including acting, singing, dancing, stage managing, set building, arts outreach and education, and working on technical crews.

In the theater, favorite shows she's worked on include The Pillowman, Angels in America, Cabaret, The Vagina Monologues, and Othello. Professional work includes Ideation, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, and Jerusalem at the San Francisco Playhouse and Bacha Bazi and Really Really Really Really Really with the New York Theatre Workshop (in their residency at Dartmouth).

Margot has been studying classical voice for ten years, working on repertoire largely in opera and classical musical theater. As a soprano, Margot sings with the Dartmouth College Glee Club and Handel Society of Dartmouth College, as well as with smaller chamber groups. Favorite opera roles include and Lakme in Lakme, Mercedes in Carmen, Orpheus in Orpheus and the Underworld, and Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte. After graduation, Margot hopes to pursue a career in opera performance.
