Muhammad Amar Hasshim

Hi. My name is Muhammad Amar Hasshim but you can call me Mar. My mission is to change how the product is marketed.

I know it is a huge dream. I’m just a regular guy studying at the University of Minnesota, but I understand the world is changing as we know it. New technologies are created everyday, replacing or improving the old one and the human mind and mentality are also affected by it. I believe that it is now a common knowledge how technology and social media, such as Facebook and Twitter play a vital role in how a product is marketed but I believe we are barely scratching the surface of digital marketing.

I was fascinated by the world of business ever since I was a child. I started selling my old comic books and toys to my school friends when I was nine, in which I often got scolded by the teachers for bringing those “illegal” item to school. In high school, I learned accounting and finance of business through clubs and classes and also doing design at my free time. In the same time, I also experienced how human interaction works in selling a product by being a waiter in my family’s restaurant. And now while I'm at college, I am fascinated on how the world of product marketing is changing and how the human mind plays a role in buying and selling so I am learning as much as I can about the field.
