With a B.S. in Biology, most of my research experience is related to the reproductive biology field, and I am passionate about it. I participated in studies investigating the energetics of Amazonian turtles hatchling and osmoregulation in stingrays. Additionally, I was able to develop independent research with ecomorphology and reproductive morphology of stingrays and description of tadpoles of an Amazonian frog.

In 2014, I attended to the University of Arizona as part of the program "Science without Borders,” an exchange scholarship and grant awarded by the Brazilian government. During my stay in the US, I also participated in research studies at the University of Arizona Cancer Center testing novel therapies in Bloom’s Syndrome cells and at Indiana University Kokomo studying the energetics of snapping turtle embryos.

Within the past year, I have published my own original research and have worked as a Portuguese-English scientific article translator at my university.
