Maria Coleman
I am a first generation college student and studying Pre-Nursing. I am currently attending Camden County College. I am a wife. I am a very sweet and caring person. If I can do it, it will get done.
Spring 2014 is my first semester in college. I never knew how difficult it was going to be to actually take on four classes. The first time I saw a syllabus, I was like , “What is this?”, and attached to it is all homework. The professor goes through the syllabus just one time, and it is up to you to keep checking for homework and projects. That’s when the trouble started for me. I had a lot of school obligations from my four classes, and I kept forgetting about the syllabus. Actually, it was the last thing that I was worried about! I have learned my lesson: always, always, always check your syllabus!
Getting through college is the most important goal that I have for myself right now. Graduating from college will get me closer to my end goal, which is to become a doctor. As God is my witness and with His help and the support of my family, my goal will be accomplished. My family support is amazing. Without my family I do not think that I would have made it past my first semester. My family to me is the best thing in the world.
I consider myself a Proverbs 31 wife. I make sure that my husband wants for nothing. I am also a step mother to two beautiful boys. I love them with all my heart and I will do anything for them. Although I want to grow our family, I want to wait until I am done with school. No marriage or relationship is perfect, but I can say my husband has made me happy.
