I started sewing about 4 years ago, mainly down to the fact that I could never find any long skirts in the designs that I liked. The very first time I looked at a sewing pattern I could have cried. It looked like a foreign language and I wondered how I would ever understand it all. Anyway, as time went on and with guidance from my mum, who is a fantastic seamstress, I gained more confidence and from then on I was hooked.
This little venture has come about due to changes in my health. I have taken a step back and prioritised what is important to me right now. I decided to combine my love of sewing with a business and hey presto "It's Sew Maria" was born!
I make a range of make up bags, zipped box pouches, cushions, bunting and for 2015 I am offering a selection of clothes. However, should there be an item that you would like made, please contact me to discuss your requirements.
