Teaching to meet learner needs first.
I am a Primary Teacher with an inclusive and learner-centered approach to education. I am committed to broadening my worldview to better meet the unique learning needs of students.
In each of my teaching experiences, I have focused on understanding the diversity of learners, and developing instruction to support all students. Through my TRIBES and High Five certifications, I learned to create caring and collaborative classroom communities in which play and learning are interconnected.
My love of travel and literature has exposed me to varied perspectives which have enriched my efforts to connect to students through culturally-relevant teaching. As a Catholic educator, I believe that the development of students incorporates both academic and spiritual growth, and I strive to reflect the teachings of the faith in my actions and words.
I guide students to take ownership of their learning, and to access their inner capacity to achieve.
