Maria's Natural Lotion was created in honor of my mom who passed away with cancer in 2012. She was an exceptional woman who didn’t hesitate to help anyone in need.

When she was diagnosed with cancer I left work for a while to go home to help care for her. She was on a healthy food regimen which made me think more about what we were putting into our bodies and using on our skin.

Once I arrived back at my home I read the ingredients on one of my favorite bottles of body lotion and discovered that I didn't understand most of the ingredients that were listed. This made me a little wiry, so I looked up every ingredient and I didn't like what I was reading. The majority of the lotion was synthetic chemicals, which was very concerning. Then when I read about the preservatives that are used in a lot of lotions had formaldehyde in them, I knew I couldn't keep using this lotion.

So my research began. I researched and researched on how to make natural lotion with natural ingredients. I searched for a preservative that didn't have formaldehyde and low and behold I found it.

Through lots of trial and error, I finally perfected the lotion.

If I can help educate one person to understand the ingredients in the lotion they use on their skin and to be more conscience about the lotion they buy, then making this lotion is well worth.
