Maria DiFazio
actress in New York
Maria DiFazio was born in a small town in Germany to Italian parents and raised together with her three siblings in the family's ice cream parlor. Always wanting to live in Italy she moved there after high school, and this is where she discovered her passion and talent for acting. After performing all over Italy and co-owning a cafe/lounge in the historic district of Florence she moved to New York, without speaking much English, to train for three years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
Maria has appeared in many independent films, and is best known for her role in the psychological thriller 'Girls Named Pinky', which won the Audience Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival. Maria equally enjoys being on stage as well as being on a film set. Her favorite stage roles are Nora from 'A Doll's House' and Emilia from 'Othello'.
Maria speaks four languages: German, Italian, Spanish and English. Enjoys practicing yoga, and cooking healthy foods and entertaining guests. Maria also loves working with children. She dedicates some of her time giving acting classes to children, and volunteers for Spoons Across America educating children about healthy eating. One of her favorite memories is signing Happy Birthday to the Italian Prime Minister.
