I am a 7th/8th grade ELA & SS teacher at Carolina Springs Middle School in Lexington, SC. I teach reading, writing, viewing, speaking, and listening through a Blended Learning & Workshop model. I also teach 7th grade World History and 8th grade U.S. History. I love working with my students.

I have a BA in Psychology from Wingate University, a MAT in Elementary Education from Queens University, and I am National Board certified in Early and Middle Childhood/Literacy: Reading-Language Arts. I continue to take classes to improve my instruction. This year, I will complete my coursework to receive a Literacy Coach add-on to my teaching certificate.

When I am not at work, I am with my family. I am married to Thomas Canepa, who teaches Math at White Knoll High School. He is also the head Boys' Track Coach. I have two girls, Elizabeth (9), and Isabella (6), who love to dance, take gymnastics, do karate, and watch YouTube for Kids videos. I also have three stepsons; Josh (27), Jacob (22), and Jonah (20) who are all making the world a better place.
